I’m not sure how to narrow the problem down.
As you can see here, the quali for Formula 1 can be programmed for recoding:
Which marks that it’s recording the series, and I can modify it, but please note that the episode shown below, is NOT marked as being recorded.
And looking in the planned recordings it shows:
Which says that for ‘Formel 1’ there are no planned recordings?
What to do, log files, xml list, or???
The TV guide I use is the xml download that Tommy has made ( @dane22 )
It usually works, so what gives?
Should I attach the xml file itself?
Are all the F1 programmes showing as new in the guide? I would delete the “Formula 1” scheduled recording and also the qualifying recording then create it again. select the race, choose record series and then select new episodes only. mine used to do this but works fine if all sections are showing as New in the guide
Just noticed that your guide is marking it as season 1 episode 1 for spanish GP. That means it is seeing each segment (ie qualifying, race, grid, chequered flag) as an individual series/episode so from that there will only ever be 1 recording. it should be showing it as Season 2021 and then a date and description
I have a problem regarding Formula 1 in the UK on Channel 4. When modifying advanced recording settings to change the resolution to HD only and to limit channel to Channel 4HD, Plex does not recognise any upcoming recordings.
Only if I change to “prefer HD” it schedules recordings but only ever records in standard definition on channel 4 which is channel number 004 and never channel 4 HD which is channel number 104.
This has occurred for every programme so far this season.
Well, I did all that with HD etc., and it somehow gets confused about the fact that the title is the same. So in the ‘scheduled recordings’ it said ‘cant record in the past’ but it still recorded the race for me!
So there is definetely a problem with selecting specific ‘shows’ with the same title / season etc. the guide apparently doesn’t have the season info in it.
ah ok, might be worth checking with him as to where he is sourcing the xml data for the Formula 1. its not in the right format should look like this

I also tried the included tv guide for Denmark, and that is useless.
I have 10 channels out of 21 I’ve chosen in the tuner that is unencrypted that it knows, the rest is unknown
And reason why it goes in as S01E01 is that the endpoint I use sadly don’t provide this, so I always just filled in that, which worked perfectly so far
@KFribert I’ll look into this asap, since the VIP user (me) is also impacted
