It worked great...

 

I upgraded Plexconnect to the latest build (i just unzipped the files (i don't really understand github))

 

And

 

Installed PIL.

- thats cool. until you have it, you don't really know what / why you are missing.

 

Result - new lease of life for Apple TV. Super fresh GUI....

 

Couldn't be happier.

Depends somewhat on your system... like this?

pip install Pillow
