I have a collection of about 90 playlists of roughly 30 songs apiece that I have carefully curated over many years. They are made up of MP3s, and they all have filled out metadata and album art. The playlists are organized with song files into separate directories in my Mac. The order of the songs within each playlist is very important to me.
For years I’ve maintained them in iTunes/Apple Music, but iTunes/Apple Music truly sucks these days. I want to take my collection to Plex and/or Plexamp. I want to IMPORT the playlists. I am willing to create M3U files from the directories, but I am not willing to go through an exercise that requires me to manually drag and add each file into a playlist one by one. And as I said, maintaining the order of the songs matters.
I am technical enough to work with a solution that requires scripting, coding and/or working with a REST interface. And I have a PlexPass.
All that said, can Plex or Plexamp help me?
