IceFilms slow buffering?

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong place. I will delete and move it if it is!


So I’ve gotten icefilms to work and play some movies/shows but the buffering is EXTREMELY slow. I tested the same video using my laptop and it buffers and plays fine. Is this normal or is there something fixable?

Wrong place. There is an Icefilms thread in the Plex Channel forum and the developer is aware of this issue.

Thanks for the response. I checked out the Plex Channel>IceFilms thread but no luck. Is my issue strictly a PlexConnect issue? Or is icefilms slow to buffer on Plex in general?

Icefilms buffers a lot depending on the source of the media. For example, Hugefiles is a source where this issue does not occur very often with 720 media. Most other sources have this problems. The developer is working on a revision that will help avoid this problem but it is not in release state yet. It is not a Plexconnect issue.
