If a user has marked their profile as private, then other users cannot block that user

I was trying to block a user and found what looks like a flaw in the forum software… If a user sets their profile to private, you cannot block them!

Here is how it usually works… (I’m not blocking DavisNL–I just chose this user at random to demonstrate the steps.)

Normally, you click a user’s name in the thread, and then in the popup, you click their name again to go to their profile page.

Then, you can click the menu and find the Ignore options. No problem… Usually!

Well, when a user sets their profile to private, clicking on their user name in a thread just shows an error.

And if you type in the profile URL, you are blocked there too.

So, how can you ignore :hammer: a user with a private profile?

Ok replying to myself. I found a thread on Discourse.org where this is discussed. It’s weird to me, but it’s intentional, so there is no forum setting that Plex staff could change. Fortunately you can still manage blocks in your own preferences.

just adding this generic link for other that might see this topic.

Go own profile user settings at https://forums.plex.tv/my/preferences/users and can add to ignore list manually

Thank you, I should have done that!
