I pay for plex every month i joined this site today it says ive been promoted promoted to what i new i had a plex pass ?

I believe the promotion message was to indicate that your role in the forum has been promoted from a standard user to a Plex Pass user. It’s just the way the forum does things.
Promoted is just a term used by the forum software, it was triggered when you subscribed to PlexPass.
It really has no meaning other than as a notification that your user status has changed
