This is awesome stuff! Thank you so much Plex employees! My wife has not been liking the move to Emby to support just a couple of AV1 encoded movies and will appreciate being able to go back to Plex!
I can confirm that on Windows Server 2019 + Arc GPU A380 it DOES use the GPU for video decoding during the transcode process. Now just patiently waiting for the Android TV Plex app to be updated to play AV1 files natively if the hardware allows for it (I.E Amlogic S905X4)

Are you referring to the 9.13 version released a couple of days ago:?
Looking at the changelog it doesnāt seem to mention anything related to it.
Just like you, I am waiting for an Android TV updated version that enables client-side hardware playback.
