[implemented] Extras - movie themes

I would love movie theme music!

Great idea, please add this feature.

any updates on whether this is being considered? Works really well in emby

Yes that´s the reason I use Emby since a while.
It should not be that difficult to implement if you already have a theme player for series and an audio player.
More difficult would be to add a theme movie in the background which I also use in Emby.

But I like Plex more and would love to have this feature…

same here - have started using emby more and more for this feature and the far richer cast/crew information… shame 6 yrs on and still no movement :frowning:

Seriously… how is this not working in clients?

Metadata agents can already add theme music to movies, they just don’t play (at least not in web, Android or Roku client)

Is this enabled?

I updated the MCU Collection with new posters and the music that I put for Emby years ago… sounds!!

Hmmmmm,
which player ? I cannot hear anything… Tried for now Webplayer and Android.
My files are named theme.mp3

Hi Mike! Try to update metadata, putting the mp3 files or using the existing ones did not work until I updated metadata of the movies.

Im using the webapp (Edge chromium) and Android app (Shield TV Pro, Mi9 and Galaxy S6 Lite Tab).

PD. Im using beta version 1.21.4.4054

Yes you´re right… it works on my Shield TV and on my Smartphone.

But it´s in the beginning I think  Sound goes off, when you read the description of the movie in “full screen”

EDIT: Sorry it´s the same in series, but there I never have read the description  … that should be changed

Thanks

Mike

WOAH, IT WORKS!! After 6 years, this feature has finally been added!!!

Thanks, Plex! I’ll never again speak badly about your prioritizing features nobody asked for!!

(Well… I might… I just won’t be AS mad about it anymore! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )

What if you don’t have folders for each movie?

It it possible with .mp3 or something similar?

Nope, currently needs to have its own folder.
