ouh boy... if i want this multiuser support for my wife and kids and still want them to be able to use PlexSync, i have to buy a PlexPass for each member of my household ? over 200$ for Plex ?? i don't think so :/

With 2 kids, that dont have dedicated sections ( their movies are mixed in with ours ) and no email addresses ( obviously, they are 3 yrs old ) I'm not sure how to use this....
Is sync with different myPLex accounts on LOCAL NETWORK working ?
Wasn't this kind of "multiuser" support already possible before ? (ie. create fake myPLex accounts and share the given sections ....)
Maybe (hopefully) I'm missing something here ....
exactly my problem.
just allow local user management on my server. i never ever intend to share anything outside of my house and my family.
right ... i thought too, that everything i want to share with my family, is working with one myPlex-Account(with PlexPass). I hate the idea of buying 3 more PlexPass, or at least one more for my wife. so that they can still use the Plex-Sync :/

Right! For me, my Kids have their own Section. But my Wife's and my Movies are totally mixed too.
i really hope this is just a really, really early version of the "real" multiuser-support... :(
yea I'm a bit confused as to this multi user support thing.
Like others have said, it'd be nice to have like 3 separate accounts under one plexpass subscription.

Why not separate their movies from yours?
Yes, it is work up front, but you wouldn't complain to the people that made the shelf your DVDs go on because your kids can reach the R rated movies.
There's only a certain amount of work that Plex can be expected to do at this stage.

For example, my mom records some TV shows and wants to delete them afterwards.
So only my mom (via multi-user or myplex-account) would be able to delete media only in the "TV-Recordings"-section.
Such extended option would be a nice improvement.

the answer here is not going to be any different to the answer you got in the other thread you asked this in. If you are suggesting it as a feature request, then doing that at the end of an already implemented feature is not the way to go about it.
