Well… I suppose that’s one of the downsides of a feature suggestion collecting dust over the years.
I consider the suggestion has grown over that time but there’s probably quite some different expectations towards what it should look like in the end.
btw… there’s a dedicated feature suggestion focusing on getting more information in the “play version” dialog.
At some point, users started to recognize there’s a difference in handling versions (=same video, different quality/encoding/2D vs. 3D/…) and different editions/cuts (theatrical, special edition, extended edition, director’s cut – maybe even Star Wars its text flying through space in different languages?!).
From what I remember, this one was the 1st concept for the handling of editions/cuts (there’s more if you go through it; pic is not showing in the preview right here… if you click on it, you get to that post).
