Please, can we get a FreeBSD media server? ( Which means it will also work on FreeNAS )
PMS unfortuanately doesn’t work with the Linux Compatibility Layer because it uses epoll. Porting PMS from Linux to FreeBSD should be orders of magnitudes easier than to windows or ARM processors.
If you do that I’ll love you 98.7±0.2% more.
Thank you
The Linux Plex Media Server is a very poor substitute for the OS X or Windows builds. You can find the reason why here. With that said, I doubt we will see FreeBSD compatibility anytime soon. The Plex Media Clients aren’t updated that often (over 2 months and counting as of this post even for PlexPass members) so you should look at Linux based NAS solutions.
+1 for pms on freenas.
I’ve switched 100% to FreeBSD and don’t want to use Virtualbox, please devs can you look into how hard it would be to port it?
Or at least remove epoll and the other non-bsd friendly parts so that we can use the Linux Compatibility Layer…
+1

I doubt we will see much in the way for FreeBSD because it is not especially popular with developers.
