[implemented] Simplify Genre Browsing

Would love to have an interface where after selecting your content library you can immediately see your content broken down by genre. This could be done by replacing the side library menu with the following sub menu (using movies as an example)

Initial Menu:

Account Name

  • Home
  • Movies [selected]
  • Music
  • Photos

Becomes:

MOVIES
<Back

  • All [default]
  • Action
  • Animation
  • Comedy
  • Drama
  • Family
  • Fantasy
  • Horror
  • Romance
  • Sci-Fi

i think this would be a great feature .
especially for music i have so many music genre folders on the home page would be great to put them all into the one folder granted you still have to scroll for what genre you want but it would just make the home page tidier.

before anyone starts shouting at me i am new to plex and if there is a way to do it can someone point me in the right direction>>>>>>>>
but good suggestion log man

With PMS 1.28.1, you’re now able to access your movies and shows by genres in a new/separate pivot (tab)… considering the vast amount of genres in a library will easily explode the sidebar if presented there, I suppose this might be a more suitable approach, while achieving the same ease of access. I’m therefore considering this suggestion to be implemented.
