One of the great things about Plex is the organizations. While there’s lot of ideas about how to best organize your movies, genre’s are a default part of Plex. It would be great if Genre’s appeared as a separate section where you could apply posters to the genres like collections.
Unlike Collections, having movies in their genre’s wouldn’t change how they show in the library or any collections they are a part of.
In a nutshell, if I want to watch a Western I go to the new Genre’s sections and see the poster for Westerns. I can then go into that and see all the movies that have been identified as Westerns. Obviously it would require users to edit movies based on the Scanner’s info.

It would bring up the genre’s like movie or collection posters…
On devices like the Fire TV stick would help in navigation since now you can move across and down…
Actually I would suggest that it replace recommended… most useless category in it’s current form…
With PMS 1.28.1, you’re now able to access your movies and shows by genres in a new/separate pivot (tab). I’m therefore considering this suggestion to be implemented.
