It says the new iOS app supports new sync technology call “Sync v2” which “Last, but definitely not least, you can sync playlists.”
Not sure about android… and also, the app requires iOS 8.1, which I’m not planning on upgrading to since I have iPhone 4S. sigh…
Yup. That is due to the new Nano Server feature that added to the app. Android does not have that (optimistically saying yet).
it’s still not possible via plex/web nor Android… so bump …
I would really like to see this feature on Android.

I voted, but I only get one vote… There’s a bunch more votes behind me that won’t ever have a plex forum account. 'come on plex! Get with the shared playlist program!
Come on! This is a basic feature for Music. 
Why in the world did PLEX not think of this from the start? Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this such an obvious ‘must have’ feature?
I think I saw the first reply from someone at PLEX back in 2014 about this. We’re almost to 2016…come on…really?
Is there something difficult about this that I may not know of? Please enlighten me…in my mind, if you can build such an amazing program like PLEX, you can’t even add a simple “shared playlist?”

I would like this feature in order to provide a simpler method of restricting my kids content by simply sharing playlist/s. For me this will be much better than having to add labels to every single item I want then to have access to ~ and much more flexible being able to easily edit the content of playlists and create new playlists quickly

How does sharing playlist act as a restriction. They can still go to the library. Or do you mean you would share the playlist but not the library? If that is the case, your idea probably will not work. Sharing a playlist would require the user to have access to the library the items are in.

Would really love to see playlist sync - especially for music.
Being able to create a playlist as an admin and share it with the users in my home would be nice. I know all about the stuff is on my server but everyone else doesn’t.

Unfortunately not “of course” for everyone. I was just posting a friendly reminder. I’ve seen threads with several pages of “+1” posts, and only a handful of votes.
