Locally stored trailers would be easy to implement first (*-trailer), that is all I need, but scraped online is a nice feature too.
I would love this features too.
My setup currently automatically add -trailer.mov to each folder.
If only Plex could use that, it would be great.

I'm looking at this request and it just makes me realize that "feature voting" with the "likes" doesn't seem to work...
Plex users wants this, I think it's clear... I didn't see any comment from Plex that they will look into it (or maybe I missed it).

You missed it. They know about this feature and that we want it. However I'm very certain that it have the "right" priority withing the Plex team.
I haven't read all 14 Pages but just incase it hasn't been mentioned PlexConnect also has this feature, work very well!

No, it seems to ignore the "(moviefilename)-trailer.ext" files.

It's funny that most requests I see are for seeing a trailer for the movie you're checking out.
I want trailer support precisely to see other movies and not the one I'm watching :D
Including one trailer for a movie that matches the one you're about to watch in some criteria, when you start it from scratch (not resume or re-play a watched movie) and allowing to queue it (or "deck" it) right from there and get on with the one you want to watch sounds to me like a win.
You're about to watch Moon? Show a trailer for Europa Report. You're about to watch Oblivion? Show a trailer for Equilibrum. Randomly picking genre, year, director and/or top billing to select from your available trailers/movies and letting you see it before you start.

Even though I want trailer support, I'd personally delete 100 votes for every feature where a voter has poster whether it's easy or "trivial" to add/support.
It's so insulting to the development team that I can't even put it into words. Voters should explain what they want and why, but unless they're developers entering on how easy or hard it is is arrogant and insensitive.

Stating new features are "easy" to implement is merely misguided or naive. It escalates to "disrespectful" when users employ cyber-bullying tactics (e.g., demeaning the quality of the product suite or the programming capabilities of the developers) or cyber-pouting (e.g., threatening to abandon Plex in favor of product XYZ because it works so much better). For the record, I don't think guts87 was disrespectful.
The only thing I find insulting is that anyone would think the developers so shallow as to be swayed by bullying or pouting. :)
Want this so badly! And the option To scrape and stream from the apple trailers apps too … Xbmc has been doing it for years

Trailer Support would be an amazing new feature! (for me, i would love to watch trailers from movies in my library - basically as a preview, to find out what movie i am in the right mood for..)
