No. It doesn't. Bumping pointlessly just gets threads locked and features ignored. Don't annoy the devs, the votes are done a specific way defined by them. This functionality is not flipping a switch so being obnoxious can only be counter-productive.
Right, agree with that. But I guess the simplest way to "calm this down" would be for somehow "official" to let us know what is going on. A simple update like: "We haven't forgotten you, it's comming in a few months." might be enough to help everyone keep its cool.
Knowing perfectly well how much this feature is being requested and by a large number of users, a little consideration would go a long way I believe.

Ignored? Can't see how more ignored this one could be after all that time and votes...
CC support wasn't "flipping a switch" either but Plex team implemented it really fast considering the work (and don't get me wrong, I'm very happy about this one). And nobody can argue that this one is easier (not saying easy here...)
When I say bumping the tread is simply to keep discussing it so the request stay alive to show Plex team that yes, users REALLY want it still after all that time....

I understand why Plex doesn't give any information on road maps (and I agree with the reasons) but still, I don't think it should be a black or white rule. Without giving any ETA or promesses, at least Plex could confirm something ("considered", "acknowledged", "not happening any time soon", "approved", "not possible", "not popular enough" etc..)
I have a lot of respect for Plex devs and love the work they have done so far but this is a voting tread that (for this request at least) doesn't seem to change anything on what seems to be predefined road maps... (based on this tread and others).
Everything that Plex adds/changes is awesome but, IMO, it keeps bumping features like this one to "later" because of the priority of it (only presuming here, that's all we can do right?)

One of my most missed features from MediaPortal, "MovingPictures" plugin had trailer support, you would be able to choose from imdb, youtube, apple, etc was awesome! Hopefully it makes it's way to Plex soon!
But we also bugged the dev for about 2-3 years about getting local trailers, and when they finally did implemented trailers, it was only online streaming...
I hope the same won't happen with Plex...
I like this feature idea, I don’t even mind linking the video to plex itself as long there is a trailer button for it.

I can only presume but IMO CC support (along with new web site, etc...) took the priority and postponed it (if this was still planned).
If this was the case, as much as I think local and/or trailer should be in Plex already, it was a good decision...
But now, it's time...

I can't believe the amount of people who want to add adverts to the start of their film viewing, I intentionally turn up to the cinema late to try and avoid them! haha. Different strokes :)
