Any chance we'll get a broader selection or more granular control over the source for Cinema Trailers? It might seem odd to you, but I'd love to be able to get only trailers for "Watched Items" – while I love trailers, I hate spoilers and sadly most trailers today are a 5 minute showdown of every essential scene and the big plot twist. :(

I love how people throw this out there with no information to help them, also with so many people talking about it DOES WORK you would think that "oh maybe its my setup and not the program because it is working for almost everybody else."
If you want to complain about it include some information so people can help instead of just whining.
I've done a forced refresh on multiple servers and for some reason am not able to play the (Plex Pass) trailers or extras on demand for a particular movie while in the web interface. Is a reboot of the machine required?

I would suggest first describing in more details your issue. Are the extras missing or you can't play them? That should isolate your issue a little better then you'll get the help you need I'm sure :)

I would recommend posting this in the proper forum considering this is supposed to be a feature request, but then turned into everyone looking for help with it.
I think this thread should be locked so people go to the correct place when needing assistance.
As already mentioned you should start by saying what doesn't work, what version pms are you using, what are you using to view your content and what version is that, does it happen when on the same lan as your pms server or when you are away, does it happen when eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich while hopping on one foot?

Just FYI, Roku doesn't support it yet so don,t look for it there.
iOS only supports playing trailer for a movie, not the "cinema" thing where it plays trailers before the movie.
-On Plex/Web, do you see the extras below the plot?
-Do you have local trailers or you just want the online ones?
-What agent in PMS are you using and is freebase (online) or/and local media asset (local) enabled?
-If yes to above, did you try to refresh (not scan the library; but a force refresh)?
And like mentioned, PMS version would help too, just to be sure.

Which of the agent setting are you using for your movies? (Edit section, in advanced if I remember)
If it’s freebase one, you should be fine.
Find a more popular movie you have (just to be sure) then refresh.
Personally, I had to recreate the section for it to work. But might not be the solution for you thought.

force refresh option in the section should do it...
Reading some of the comments, maybe some clarification.
You won't get *any* trailers, anywhere unless you follow the instructions people mentioned. That means you have to be running the new PMS version and you have to (at the minimum) do a refresh on a per movie basis to populate a selection of trailers that can be selected. I don't have my media set for automatic rescanning, so can't say if that "does the job" or not. But if you do a forced refresh of a particular movie, you'll see the trailer and other extras being populated below the description and you'll get a rectangle icon in the far left (talking about the web client).
Then if trailers are enabled on the Player settings (Extras) (e.g. set to play 1 trailer before a movie), it will pull from the populate set of trailers you did above and (I guess randomly) grab one of those.
Trailers work with the web client. They will not work with the Android client (though it says it does, but I can't seem to make it work there), nor with Roku (and probably others).

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to the Plex team. I have been wanting for this feature for some time and the way you implemented it exceeded my expectations. Great job!
Now if there was only a way to force it on people who use my server. ;)
