Because I have 800 movies on my HD.
I honestly don't remember what they are all about, so when I'm searching for a movie to see, it helps to make a decision.
Also, it's great for my girlfriend when she wants to see a movie, she doesn't know 95% of them :)
As a addition to this suggestion I would love this feature to include TV show trailers as well not even XBMC has that capability yet and it would be great if plex could do movie and TV trailers.
Never quite understood that myself :) But I'm sort of weird, I hate seeing trailers for movies before I watch them.

Yes, at the end of each episode. Trailers are great for when you want to end on an episode and have a general idea on what to expect next time you start watching. TV trailers would be great.
Just to add when I think f tv trailers I think of the video released by a network several months or weeks before a new series is lunched or if a major storyline in a soap is coming up in a few weeks the sometimes make a trailer for that. The video at the end and beginning of episodes I refer to as previews or recaps so a mild difernce to full blown trailers but if previews and recaps could somehow be incorporated as well as trailers that would be good

I’m a fan of trailers/teasers streaming from online sources.
- Not sure how this would actual figure out what trailers to play, but I saw someone else commented on how cool it would be if you’re movie would be able to show you some trailers of movies that are similar to your feature film… just like they do in the movie theaters.
** This is a great idea as well, and I’d love to be able to link my extra features to my movies.
*** This would just show the trailers that would play with “Start from beginning with trailers”, just in case you just wanted to come up with ideas of movies to watch.
Please don’t forget trailers support…
