+1 for me as well. I wouldn’t have a problem storing them locally or streaming them from online.
Trailers are extremely nice to have for when companies over and for my girlfriend who has seen
maybe 1/2 of the movies we have.
Can’t see myself ever bothering to grab them locally, but would love to have streaming trailer support.
Trailer playable in the Movie description would be nice.

Right now what I do is download trailers (usually from hd-trailers.net) and I have a section on PMS just for them called “Trailers” and I use the movie scanner and name the trailers just as if they’re the movie. So then in my trailer section I have nifty movie posters (where available) & movie info just as one would for a movie . . . but for the trailers. Which is nice, but later on I realized that if I viewed these trailers then later had the movie elsewhere in my library, Plex would think I’d seen the movie just because I’d seen the trailer. D’oh! At least I think something like that happened.
In any event, I’d love to be able to have trailers for movies already on my server associated with them somehow. And maybe a way to sometimes say “show 3 trailers at random” from local or network sources.
I collect trailers for both movies in my library as well as for movies that aren’t yet out.
This and the auto subtitles cannot come quick enough! I’ll be one happy man when I see that happen :rolleyes:
I would also love to see this implented in the Samsung Smart TV Plex App, 1080p trailer support, downloaded from apple or moviemaze, or even youtube. This would be a great feature. :rolleyes:

Like the rest, I have been eagerly waiting for the trailer feature.
I could accomodate myself with locale or streaming version, but I believe local falling back on streaming would be the best.
I also can see myself really enjoying the "a few random trailer before the movie starts" option. I would also really love a "don't know what to watch, show me a bunch of random trailers until I find something I want to see".
Anyway, love plex ! plexpass lifetime member and proud :)

And speaking of trailers, I can't help but notice that synopsis listing for movies aren't great (meaning, they aren't as good as Flixster and other synopsis sites I find). Where do you guys pull the synopsis from?

I would love to have this, it's one of the few things I think Plex needs to be a full featured app. I can't see going to the trouble of downloading (or using the storage space), but streaming even off of youtube would be amazing.

I agree.... But, of course most of us have a wife, g/f or significant other who likes to complain. What is this about.... Just watch it and you will see.. But, what if it's not what I want to watch.... Lol love them to death so I would like trailer support even if it's just a link to YouTube on PMS somewhere on the movie description. That way we do not need to take up hd space. I would never dl the movie trailers that's a waste to me....
