Is your server on a remote VPS or local to your home ?

If the server is your workstation, use http://127.0.0.1:32400/web to claim it.
If it is on your home LAN, use the LAN IP address http://LAN.IP.of.Server:32400/web
(LAN must also be compliant with RFC-1918 192.168.x.x,10.x.x.x, or 172.16…x.x->172.31.x.x)

My server is on remote server.
I use tunnel ssh to connect in localhost in my workstation and claim it.

ssh root@remotPlex -L 8080:localhost:32400

I have no proxy ans no firewall in my server

I joined you a screenshot in my workstation with console activate.

Hi,

We are using this server with Miroof (OP) for a while now. As we can see in the log, the server got a connection refused by plex.tv but the DNS resolution is okay and the Internet access is working aswell.

If I run a curl from a different public IP :

curl -vvvv https://plex.tv/api/v2/user/

Please advice

Also, it looks like the same issue related in that post SSL Certificate error

Could you reset the Miroof’s certificate ?

Thank you

Certificate is valid:

Valid	Tue, 16 Nov 2021 11:11:32 +0000	Tue, 16 Nov 2021 11:11:47 +0000
Server certificate:
subject: C=CH; ST=Nidwalden; L=Stans; O=Plex GmbH; CN=*.plex.tv

expire date: Sep 22 23:59:59 2022 GMT

issuer: C=US; O=DigiCert Inc; CN=DigiCert TLS RSA SHA256 2020 CA1
SSL certificate verify ok.

Actual error: HTTP 401 - Account authentication error

HTTP/2 401

Step 1 -

  1. Stop Plex
  2. Open file “Preferences.xml”
  3. Inspect value for PlexOnlineToken="value"
  4. If the value is null – PlexOnlineToken="" – then local error caused the failure.
  5. Carefully edit (remove) PlexOnlineToken="" from file and save.
  6. Verify file owned as plex:plex (or username being run as)
  7. If Token value was null, restart plex and reclaim.

Step 2 -

  1. Are you using your own certificate on the host before claiming ?
  2. Are you using a proxy with certificate ?

Hi,

@ChuckPa , the curl’s test of @brunobruno is made on his PC, not in PMS server.

In the PMS server when i do a curl command. The connexion is refused by plex.tv !

curl -v https://plex.tv
