One thing that bothers me when using most music apps is how the seekbar responds when playing long mixes. The precision of the seekbar when moving around tracks that are hours long makes it really hard to get to the place you want to move to, for scaling reasons.
One app that has fixed this issue is Vox, where the limits of the bar are moved outside the screen and the current playing location is always centered. This way every “time portion” (or time block) always is represented by the same physical size across tracks, no matter how long they are, and the user is able to move the song histogram sideways (as opposed to moving the location within the song).
