I would like the ability to play music playlists from within a music library, movie playlists within a movie library, etc. For example, it is a bit of a usability hurdle to be listening to music, decide that I would like to play a playlist, and then have to exit my music library, visit my global playlists section in order to browse my music playlists which are interspersed with other playlists of other media types. If I don't find a playlist I am interested in.. I would have to go back to the library to resume looking at other music. I believe that in library playlists, would solve this problem.
Now I agree that it could be confusing to have two different types of playlists.. so I don't think that is the solution here, but at the least it should be possible to access music type playlists that have music for a given library in the library of question.
I agree. I would also like to see playlists in each library. I think the general "Playlists" Home menu item could be axed altogether, and leave just music playlists in music, movie playlists in movies, etc.
You can have playlists span libraries, though. For instance you might have multiple movie libraries and a TV show library, and a playlist that goes across them all. Hope that at least explains the current position of the playlist 'section'.
Makes sense to me.. just really thinking of the usability.. of at least being able to access music playlists inside of the music library itself... even just having a link to the general playlists from inside a library.. that filters the general playlist page to playlists for that library would be helpful.. It's just not that functional to have to leave a library to use playlists for that library.
