Insane amount of DNS requests

Checking my pihole (DNS server) I have been trying to figure out why I have a 192.168.x.x.LARGETEXT.plex.direct

This isn’t a small amount, this is over 200,000 queries a day. It has no correlation to anyone watching it’s consistent at roughly 1200-1500 queries every 10 minutes day and night nonstop.

They all get through and are whitelisted but my questions is what in the heck is it and why is it so chatty and what can I do to fix it.

There is nothing to fix.
There is nothing which you can change.
This is how PMS does its availability checking for servers & devices on your LAN.

Given it’s an overlay private domain on your LAN, I recommend turning off logging it.
