Install themes via PlexConnect settings?

I know that there are some "themes" for plexconnect going on in the forum .. IOS6+ of course. I love them and i guess many people more. But not many will install it because it's beta and not going well with auto updates like openconnect and such.

But what if we could make PlexConnect to help us choose theme? We will have a place in the settings for that with a few pictures of every option and when choosing it'll be downloaded to a "themes" folder in plexconnect directory which will use it in plexconnect. And themes updates will be downloaded automatically to the same Themes folder by plexconnect code. That way we could have themes like in the good old apps (XBMC and such) and still have the themes updating all the time .. The difference between what i'm suggesting to just put all themes folder in this themes folder from the beginning and just choose is that the themes will update in any method (When using terminal too cause it's in the code and updating the themes ..) and will not take space for people who doesn't want to use this themes, it'll download in a click from settings in plexconnect on aTV and will not download with plexconnect zip.

So what do you say?

OpenConnect autoupdates the library view test “themes” just fine. You have to remember these themes were just introduced recently and will take time for the dev team to see if and when it can be a option to switch themes using the main code.

Yes but people don't like using Openconnect to choose themes and if we really want someone to use them it's need to be easily:

Go to PlexConnect

settings tab

themes

choose theme (Photos of it will be displayed)

Message will tell us to quit, wait x (3,4?) seconds and go back in.

If it is incorporated into the main code then I see your point. Until then at least OSX users have a easy way to test the themes for now using the OpenConnect themes. All of these themes need to be tested by the dev team before it can be put into the main code if they see fit. You are asking for something to happen that is probably on the roadmap if it is possible to be incorporated. These new features don’t happen overnight.

Not so many testing needed. Themes that are in beta will be called "ThemeName (Beta)" and if someone don't like the bugs he can just go back to settings and reverse it back. Only needed to be test is that going back to settings and change themes is possible on the theme and we can call it beta and release it ..

Of course, i'm not expecting to see this on github in 2 mins but it sure need to go in the roadmap :)
