Ive decided to move plex to an unraid server. However after install it does not show the setup screen so I am unable to add my media files location. It did show my previous server but there was no way to edit it I could find so I deleted it. Now I see no way to add another. It just shows a screen to Get Plex Media Server.
I need some help pls. Also I know nothing about linux commands so pls keep it simple. Thanks
Are you accessing the new install using the unRaid‘s local IP address from within thdd we same subnet (http://[unRaid IP]:32400/web)?
Any chance you already had a previous install of PMS on this unRaid?
Yes to both questions.
My previous PMS was on windows.
The new media server instance is now in docker on unraid.
I just need access to the setup screen so I can create a new server and add my library locations.
Two things coming to mind:
Have you configured your container to with a claim token / linking it directly to your account?
How did you configure the container‘s network (e.g. bridge mode)? This will impact if you actually connect „locally“ to your server when you attempt to finish the setup.
I have tried multiple versions of the plex download for unraid. One with a claim code field, which did not work. Another with host instead of bridge, that also didnt work.
Just tried another that has host network and the claim field which worked.
