Hi everyone
I’m getting some nasty interlacing from the HDHomeRun → Plex
When watching via the HDHomeRun android app, it appears to be correctly deinterlaced: Screenshot - e7e3aea941b898e0fd82765e6792d95e - Gyazo
Is there anything I can do about this?
Scrolling text? Looks more like aliasing than interlacing.
Plex Media Player is no longer being updated, the functionality has been spit into two. Big Screen is Plex HTPC and Windowed is Plex for Windows . I mention this because even if there is a problem it won’t be fixed in the old product.
I’m using the Linux Desktop app GitHub - plexinc/plex-media-player: Next generation Plex Desktop/Embedded Client
Is there something more recent? (It definitely is interlacing, btw - compare the static (green) to the text which is slowly scrolling to the left (blue) Screenshot - f491dcfcf1e73d7c1c086b17be1985cd - Gyazo )
They have a SNAP app for Linux.
Version 1.16.0 has been released for Plex HTPC for Windows, Plex HTPC for Mac, and Plex HTPC for Linux preview.
Plex HTPC for Windows (Windows 10 or later, 64 bit only)
Plex HTPC for macOS (macOS 10.13 or later, 64 bit only)
Plex HTPC for Linux (x86_64 only)
NEW:
(Windows) Allow switching to HDR for HDR content
FIXED:
Fixed the episodes screen list containing only the played episode after playback
Live TV: Fix title truncation on DVR schedule view and add channel details to reco…
I don’t really want big screen, is there no standard desktop client for linux any more?
They are working on making the Plex for Windows into a snap image but their is no ETA.
Is there a git repository for this player so i can make a gentoo ebuild?
I’ve just finally managed to get this awful “snap” thing installed and I’m now running the new app.
The interlacing is still clearly visible. MPV has a high quality built-in deinterlacer… can you please fix this, plex?
