I just turned Camera Upload on. I have well over a thousand pictures to load initially. I’ve selected a library, turned “upload automatically” on then “camera upload” on and began uploading photos. I’ve noticed once iPhone goes to sleep, uploading stops. When I re-enter the app, there’s no activity and tapping “upload now” doesn’t do anything. Seems I must turn “camera upload” off then on again for it to continue… which then it must go through the process of “looking for new photos” before it resumes.
Any ideas on how to keep this running in the background after the screen auto-locks?
Also another issue as an example on Monday I had 100 photos on my phone. Using photo upload I uploaded these to my Plex server with no issues. I deleted the 100 photos off my phone. On Tuesday I took 5 photos when I got home and unto Wifi network I expected the 5 photos from that day to automatically upload but they didn’t even when left overnight (I have auto upload enabled).
Is there only certain circumstances that “automatic upload” works?
Also it would be useful to be able to automatically delete photos after upload.
You can turn on ‘never sleep’ under display in iOS settings. Worked for me. However my issue is with what seems to be a rescan of all photos just to load new ones. Can you speed up the time to add new photos without scanning all photos in the camera roll?
