IOS - Camera Upload, unable to select Library.

Plex | Settings | Camera Upload

User was added to “My Home”. When we select Settings | Camera Upload. All options are unresponsive. i.e. unable to select a Library.

Works fine under primary accounts just not for users added under My Home.

Server: 1.3.3.3148
Plex App: 4.6.1
IOS: 10.2

We have completed all the basic troubleshooting:

  • Reboot server
  • Rebooted phone
  • Deleted and reinstalled IOS App

on iOS:
Plex | Settings
Allow Plex to Access: Photos enabled.

Looking or some guidance.

Thanks for reporting this. This was supposed to have been fixed in version 4.5.
It has been referred to the Plex for iOS development team

I reported this back in mid december. No comments from anyone at plex and the 4.6.1 update did not fix which I told you then as well. Is the support always this bad for plex pass users?

I certainly hope not @danda1man - because this is getting old. I have purchased a total of 6 Plex Passes for my family and I am able to upload without any issue from my iPhone 6 (IOS 10.2) - however, neither my wife or son (both iPhone 6 w/IOS 10.2). I am running 2 separate PMS one on Linux and one on Windows. This is a little frustrating given the amount of money I keep throwing at Plex to fix these problems.

I am not able to setup Camera Upload as the options are grayed out.

I have completed the same steps as @HMS - Ryan.

Please avoid double posting and definitely not giving different info in different posts. Your other post says they are not managed users - but they are

The issue where managed users (Plex Home users) are unable to select library for camera upload has now been identified and a fix will be in a future release of Plex for iOS. It has missed the next release and expecting it to be in the one after.

Thank you for the update SA2000. I will keep out for an update to be posted on the apple app store. The wife will be happy once this is fixed!

Hi SA2000. Just to confirm is this fix applied to the 4.7 release? Or the next? As we have tested under 4.7 and are experiencing the same problem.

The fix should be in 4.8. It missed the 4.7 release

Plex for iOS 4.8 is now released. It has a fix for the Managed Users Camera Upload issue
