Currently, I have no issues using the webgui to login to my home account and see plugins and use them. But on my PMP clients (Embedded for Pi3) I can see anywhere to show the plugins.
(Trying to get access to old shoutcast plugins for streaming music stations)
Yea, I understand that. But that also says old plugins will continue to work.
I can view it when i use my PLEX login on the PMP. I just can’t see it on the home screen at the bottom when logging in as a home user. Is there something I can do to see the plugins as a home user like I can as a plex login?
I think you misread my last post (or misinterpreted it). I have my local collection, but for all the songs I don’t yet have or don’t know about I listen to streaming services such as Tidal that Plex does support (music not hosted by me).
So I’m guessing you were saying, it’s no longer possible correct?
That’s disappointing. That ends up making Plex no longer usable for my needs. Reason being is because I use my Raspberry Pi PCs all around the house. When using an embedded PMP with my remote etc it makes it impossible to use the “native app” like you suggested. With Kodi I would have no issues with this. That’s really disappointing, I was so happy with everything about Plex. But talking away all streaming music sources except one that is tied to Plex is really… well…
I don’t want to bash Plex at all, I love the product but I think it’s important for users to let you know what they don’t like etc. Reasons they are finding other apps to achieve the same thing Plex aloud in the past.
Interesting that you mention some tools will continue to work like exporttools. Mine has stopped working with these newer updates. Have they tossed that to the wind too? Is there anything available similar that will currently work with Plex? I am trying to download an excel (or list of any format) to download my titles.
Update ExportTools to the latest version and it will work. Make sure to read the instructions, because making them work required a bit of a workaround.
