Currently the main official metadata for Plex comes from IMDb, TMDB and TVDB, Is there any chance to add Douban as a metadata source?
Douban Movie is the largest movie sharing and review community in China, with millions of movies and filmmakers’ profiles, more than 2,500 movie theaters to join, and tens of millions of movie lovers.
Douban is like the Chinese version of IMDb, TMDB and TVDB, because Plex has many Chinese users, and Chinese users will be more convenient to use Douban, so I would like to know if there is a possibility to use Douban as a source for metadata, because IMDB does not support Chinese, and TMDB also has some contents that do not support adding Chinese translation, so there is a lot of metadata that does not support Chinese. If we can get the metadata directly from Douban, we can get the data in Chinese directly.
I know this may be a bit much to ask for, just curious if there are any possibilities, BTW, if you can’t use Douban as a source of metadata, is it possible to add Douban as a Ratings Source? The current Ratings Source is Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb, The Movie Database, and I think it seems fair to add Douban as a rating source.
