Plex movie agent does not get information from "the movie database' and imdb

Hello, I have a problem with geting correct information (title, description, poster and Ratings Source) for the movie “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” on my plex server.

I have that settings for my movie library

In themoviedb - title of that movie is translated “Доктор Стрейндж в мултивселената на лудостта” and has poster image in bulgarian and has description in bulgarian.

So on my plex when I try to fixing the match I see “Доктор Стрейндж 2”, not “Доктор Стрейндж в мултивселената на лудостта” without translated description on bulgarian and without poster with bulgarian language.

and rating source is not imdb that I use in library settings.

Any movies that I have on my server after this one and before it geting correct information from the movie db website.

I updating metadata for whole library and/or only from that movie but no success to get info about it from the movie db web. I also tried with different releases for movie but that not fix the case.

Is there problem with plex to getting metainfo from themoviedb.org or/and imdb?

How to fix that ?

that is so sad. I’ll be happy if any of developers or admins/mods provide us more information about that and how to fix that case

It’s a problem on the plex side with their metadata cache, unfortunately we can’t do anything to fix it.

Very frustrating indeed, it can be like talking to yourself sometimes on this forum :thinking:

@PVasileff we’ve identified a bug that was preventing a small set of movies from updating. The fix is rolled out and the refreshed data will show up within the next day

Plex agent and scanner with IMDB selected as my ratings source.

Last 10 movies I’ve added….4 have IMDB ratings, 2 have TVDB ratings, 3 have Rotten Tomato ratings and one has none.

(They all have IMDB pages with ratings and did, even the day they were added).

They do not change to IMDB ratings even if metadata is refreshed even weeks later.

In my experience problems with metadata and ratings sources are not a bug with a small set of movies

@JaysPlex7 what you’re describing is a different issue, I’ll bring it up with the team. Could you give me an exact movie that has a rating in IMDB but is not getting displayed?
