Is it possible to have Library with Movies and TV shows?

Is it possible to setup a library with 2 sub libraries

So Plex likes to get media in the following format

! /Media
! /Movies
! movie content
! /Music
! music content
! /TV Shows
! television content

I would like to do it in the following format

! /Media
! /Documentaires
! /Movies
! movie content
! /TV Shows
! television content
! /Movies
! movie content
! /Music
! music content
! /TV Shows
! television content

Point being to have Movie Documentaires search Movie database and TV Documentaires to have episodes and seach TV database

/Media
/Documentaires
______/Movies
____________movie content
______/TV Shows
____________television content
/Movies
______movie content
/Music
______music content
/TV Shows
______television content

This is how I have my libraries set up. So they are not “sub libraries” as such, just separate ones:

Library 01: /Movies
______movie content (points to NAS/…/Movies)
Library 02: /TV Shows
______television content (points to NAS/…/TV Shows)

Library 01 is of type “Movies” in Plex terms
Library 02 is of type “TV Shows” in Plex terms

Each library has it’s own agents and under “Advanced” I have confirgured the scanner for movies for 01 and TV for 02. Is that what you were after?

Thanks but this doesn’t answer the question. Sorting just Movies or just TV shows is fine Plex does a great job at this.

But I want to create a Documentaries Library which has both movie and TV shows in that library.

Best compromise I have looked at is set it up as a TV show library and manually update movies.

The answer to your question is NO. Unless you use home videos which wouldn’t give you any metadata.

Actually, you can add some TV Shows into a Movie library. You can use TheMovieDB agent which will recognize some TV Shows, but they won’t be organized like a TV Show, just random episodes in your library.
