Is it possible to optimize multiple files at the same time?

I am running plex on a very large and overkill server. I have a total of 24 cores available and under normal usage those cores will never be maxed out, however is it possible when optimizing media to sync to another device to enable multiple optimization processes at the same time? The encoder is at most using ~8 of the 48 threads available to plex right now and the device I am syncing to is waiting on the server to encode the video.

TLDR:
Can the sync process be sped up on large servers by enabling multiple optimization encodes at the same time?

TLTWW (too long to write why):

No

That is very very unfortunate. I know the server I am running plex on has the CPU/IO ability to do up to 6 transcodes at the same time. It would be nice to be able to use that when syncing my laptop for a long road trip
