Hello,
Someone online has offered to build me a version of Kodi that has PLEX integrated.
They have asked me to turn on ‘Remote access’ to PLEX and then share the IP address with them.
What is the worst thing they could do knowing my IP address?
(My PLEX install runs on my NAS server with lots of other files on it if that makes any difference?)
I would ask if this person is making something for you other than what you can do yourself with plexkodiconnect
I’d consider OpenPHT first. It is based on a recent version of Kodi, and has already all Plex-related modification in it.
Both solutions to bring a Plex server into Kodi are currently having problems, du to the changes introduced in PMS v1.0.0. So I don’t think the guy is able to do what he promises.

Can PlexKodiConnect run with OSMC?
I’m very new to Raspberry Pi, Kodi and Plex so appologies if this question is daft. Can I just download the zip file of PlexKodiConnect to usb then go to Settings → Add-ons → Install from zip file -→ and then find the file on my USB drive?
Please let me know if this method would work.

OpenPHT sounds interesting and like it could be my kind of thing.
I’ve tried to find out more about it but other than being able to find it it stands for ‘Open Plex Home Theatre’ there seems to be very little other information out there.
How does it compare to Kodi?
Can I still add Kodi add-ons to OpenPHT?
I’d love to see some screen shots of OpenPHT or a video demo so I can get a better feel of if it may suit my needs or if I will enjoy using it.
Do you know if there is any pictures or video that show it running.
