I was just looking at the roadmap for PlexConnect and didn't see any mention of Multi-user support planned and thought i would ask. I also have found that currently PlexConnect doesn't support "Require authentication on local networks" feature - is this planned to be supported in future releases?
Now this leads to me ask a question that logically should be possible... Can PlexConnect take advantage of the inbuilt parental controls that are already built into the Apple TV? I assume that it is possible given that it is making use of the user interface and that it is simply a DNS intercept of content that would generally be governed by the Apple TV under normal circumstances?
Look forward to the responses. Have a fantastic day and thanks for the hard work and development of this tool - it has made my life easier! :-)
Without Jailbreaking your Apple TV, Plex Connect wont be able to plug into the existing parental controls of the Apple Tv as far as I know. But that doesn’t mean Plex Connect couldn’t have its own parental controls options if the devs decided to implement one. Content can already be filleted by rating some kind if block would be possible I’d imagine. But im no professional haha.

What are you looking for regarding "Multi User Support"? You can sign out/sign in with different MyPlex IDs... isn't that "Multi User"?

I guess, I don't understand this request as well... what are you looking for. Seen from PMS PlexConnect is a client. Depending on your PMS settings (and your MyPlex sign in state), PlexConnect can not access your PMS based library.
So once you set "Require Authentication" on your PMS, you need to sign in in your aTV/PlexConnect/Settings to watch your movies.
What i mean is that right now i have created a new plex account for my kids and i have shared the kids library's to that user and when i logon as the kids account on the apple tv - i get the shared library under shared library, however nothing in the main library as you would expect. When i enable "Require Authentication" and logon i get no shared library or local library. Maybe i have missed something?

Not too bad, eh? I would call it a perfect fit. :-D
The "require authentication" however should not remove any media, as long as you are readily signed in to MyPlex and library sections are shared. I guess, I have never looked at it with a second account, though... Anybody else having some experience with this issue btw how to solve it?
