If we are going to host private movies and video clips on a Cloud Service, such as Amazon, it won’t be a good idea to keep this content unencrypted on a public cloud.
We all know that these services have bots that scan content hashes for matches and who knows what employees at the company have access to?
Ive seen many posts about amazon just closing down peoples drive with movies / tv shows stored there. So i think until there is some sort of encryption it may be best to avoid using the new platform.
(Of course only if you download Movies / Tv Shows)
I’ve not seen a single post along those lines. I’ve seen posts of people losing their SHARE privileges because they shared pirated files. Have yet to see anyone actually shut down. Doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened, but there’s been lots of rumor with little actual proof to back it up.

So what is plex cloud good for if we can’t store movies and music in amazon cloud drive?
There is absolutely nothing that prevents storing your movies and music on an Amazon Cloud Drive and using it as the source for Plex Cloud as long as you have sufficient storage on the cloud and unlimited for $60.00/year is quite affordable.
That makes “Plex Cloud” good for a number of people.

Thats a big fail. I can/want not store any media in the cloud, if i dont know it is also there tomorrow.
And yes, $60,- is a good price, but any Media could be stolen. So who know what is legal what not.
And i dont store any private media unencrypted in the cloud. So please dont tell it is “good”.
