Hi,
I wasn’t able to find an answer to this question in the forum, forgive me if my research was unsuccesful.
I’m an “old” plex user, but I recently take a pass, mostly to be able to watch/record TV. Living in France, nearly all broadcasts are in MP4/H264 format.
Today, I finally got my HD Homerun Connect, it works nearly alone in Plex, and I started recording. I tried the Add remover without luck. Searching trough the(limited) documentation, I think I understood that Plex did integrate an external technology to remove Add : ComSkip from kaashoek.
And on the kaashoek.com site, in the manual page, I read that :
Input files
Comskip can operate on 3 types of files. The first file type is an MPEG file. The extension must be mpg, mpeg (for mpeg Program Streams), ts (for mpeg Transport Streams) or dvr-ms for DVR-MS). Maximum resolution is 2000 by 1200 and the content must be MPEG2 video and MPEG2 or AC3 audio as recorded by most mpeg encoders.
So, I think that I cannot use that functionality ?
TIA,
Pascal

Going furter :
If I start Plex Commercial Skipper by hand, as this :
./Plex\ Commercial\ Skipper --ini=Resources/comskip.ini test.ts
Here’s the result :
Comskip 0.81.098, made using ffmpeg
Donator build
The commandline used was:
“./Plex Commercial Skipper” --ini=Resources/comskip.ini test.ts

Unsupported codec!
Could not open video codec
test.ts: could not open video codec
So, definitively a codec trouble, but I would love to find a log to know exactly the command started by Plex.
Strangely, nothing in the Logs Dir.
Any Hints ?
TIA,
