Was extremely disappointed to see that the Plex Pass perk/feature of Vevo music videos which were added to the music library artists has been discontinued. I, for one, would definitely like to see that feature added back to the Plex Media Server software.

Plex doesn’t give out road maps on features to come. If you wish for a particular feature to be implemented, create a thread in the feature section or vote for an existing one (by adding a Like to the first post).
I agree it was very disappointing. Given they’ve just announced that they ‘can’t’ provide this any more, I don’t think they’ve ‘planned’ to bring it back. But there is no harm in asking. Sometimes I wonder what the Plex Pass is for, if not things like this! However there are other things I’d like even more, like music recommendations from Last FM and 24 bit audio sync / support.
Have just joined (life means life) and being a bit slow, I took a while over getting on board. Why did I join - to get music video support!
So anyway I joined but it’s gone, just disappeared as a facility.
Not good P.R. but then nor is it clever in the least to be condescendingly sold a “road map” story or told to naff off and get a vote going for a new feature…
Perhaps Plex will either come to tell its members the truth over why this service has been axed or make some suggestions as to what is in store - allow me to explain it’s like a road map (but without too many curves and hairpins).
Either way I’m left £100+ the poorer for nothing…
It’s been stated a few times I’ve seen, one particular instance is here.
It basically comes down to the fact that Vevo decided to take their business into a different direction, so these videos are no longer available in Plex. This was not a decision made by Plex, but by Vevo to pull their videos. You should still be able to add your own music videos to your library as outlined in the Adding Local Artist and Music Videos support document.
I would love to see something happen here also. I’m really missing this feature so hope something is in the works with maybe a site other than Vevo.
