Why did my Premium Music Library stop automatically adding Vivo music videos after 1.0 update?

When I first built my Plex Premium Music Library my music artists album pages automatically populated associated music videos. Some of the videos were live in concert, live at the studio, and mtv style music videos too. My children loved watching the music videos. About a week after my PMS update to 1.0 I noticed that all of the videos disappeared from the music library. I’m not referring to adding my own inline or global video folders: I never added any music videos I simply setup the Premium Library and the videos automatically populated for each artist. Why did this happen? I’ve looked at all my settings and dug through forums for weeks now without getting an answer. Is this a feature that’s been removed? Does it have something to do with needing a Vivo account to get the videos? What has changed that the feature is no longer working?

Vevo’s business interests took them in a different direction which didn’t include Plex and videos.

Plex is trying to find something to put in its place but it takes time.

Some things I forgot to mention: I’m running PMS on my Asustor NAS 7004t with 8TB of storage and an i3 processor. I’ve had no issues with Plex since I started building my collection roughly 6 months ago, so I’m new but actively learning all the time. I typically watch Plex through the PS4 connection, but within my household also access Plex from Xbox 360, Roku2 and 3 boxes, as well as from multiple Android phones and a couple of IPad Air’s. All of these devices could successfully access the music videos in my Premium Music library up until the 1.0 update. I’ve gone into PMS Agents > Music Artists> and made sure that the Vivo Music videos are checked and set as top priority rather than the local media agent. This had no impact on the situation. Additionally I’ve refreshed my artist albums, and completely wiped out and rebuilt my PMS Premium Music Library to be sure it was actually setup as a Premium Library.

Alas, the time has come for Vevo and Plex to part ways. At the end of June, Vevo's HD music videos will no longer be available to Plex Pass users. We absolutely detest taking features away, but our hands were tied on this one (others' business models changing, different direction—you know).```

Much Thanks ChuckPA , this is gonna save me many months of seeking answers. I’m a Network tech professionally so I don’t give up, I just re-route, and return. Does it appear that there’s going to be a replacement someday for the Vivo functionality? It was a great, rich feature. Thanks again.

I’ve been working with computers some 40 years now (35+ as an engineer)… I never give up. I just get a bigger hammer

The ‘business side’ of Plex doesn’t tell us anything until it’s official (because we ninjas are volunteers). In those situations, we know when you know… I wish I could tell you more but all i have is \o/

I hope there is a replacement for Vevo soon. This is honestly the only reason I’m hesitating to upgrade to 1.0.
