Is there a problem with Mac OSX Plex Media Player connecting to USB DAC?

Server Version#: 1.16.1.1291
Player Version#: 2.36.0.988-0150ae52

I have an Audiolab Q-Dac connected to my iMac, which has my Plex Server running. I have also downloaded the latest Plex Media Player and found the Audio Settings (which took me a while to find). In the setting I have tried all options for Device Type (BASIC, OPTICAL, HDMI), with Channels set to STEREO, and Device selected as AUDIOLAB USB 2.0 Audio Out. When I play a song, no sound is output. Interestingly, it looks like PLEX is communicating with the DAC, as the display on the DAC will show it switching between different sample rates when I change songs to a Hi-Res song. The DAC works perfect with other software, only PLEX will not output any sound. This iMac will only be used for music, and all audio is FLAC files, and only stereo (no multi-channel).

The Specs are:
iMac 2017 with macOS Mojave version 10.14.5
Plex Media Player 2.36.0.988-0150ae52 (downloaded 7 July 2019)
Plex Media Server 1.16.1.1291

Is this a known problem? Is there a setting I’m missing to get sound out of PLEX?

Any help will be appreciated.
