I’m fairly new to Plex, though working to figure this out.
So I don’t know if I posting this thread is the best possible place, but here goes anyway.
I’m trying to cut the cord, and rely on Plex to completely replace cable, or in my case satellite.
I’m Canadian so my choice of plugins for local viewing is more limited.
But I’m using the CBC plug-in more & more
When I surf to the CBC web site on a browser, I can find full episodes of the daily news, but using Plex, I am only able to access news clips.
- Using a browser surfing to CBC, I get the following options: Local News/Canada/Politics/Business/Health/Arts and Entertainment/Technology and Science /Consumer Life/Community
If I click on Local News I only get news clips.
- If I click on Canada, i get access to other local links:
BC/Calgary/Edmonton/Saskatchewan/Manitoba/Thunder Bay/Sudbury/Windsor/Toronto/Ottawa/Montreal/NB/PEI/NS/NL/North
This is where the full newscasts are.
Using Plex: The CBC plug- gives me access to the following: The National/The National on-demand/at issue panel/Rex Murphy/Recent News Clips/Popular News clips/Local news
The local news available here is the same as clicking the local news clips mentioned in point 1. above, the clips, not the full local news casts.
Is it possible to get the CBC plug-in to be able to access all the links available from the CBC player, or at least redirect the “Local News” link in Plex to the “Canada” link on the CBC player in point two. This will enable people to view full local news broadcasts vice just the clips.
Thanks for your assistance and your part in developing Plex.
