I’m using Plex with Plex Pass, my server is under Windows.
I have a lot a movies on my NAS and I’d like to clean it a bit… deleting the movies that have been seen (example : the cartoons or movies for young kids which will at 99.99% never been watched again because my kids now are teenagers).
Is there a quick way to get a list (a filter ?) to get the movies that have been seen ? I did not find that feature, so can you please help me.
@thelorrain - Plex web is quickest way. Go into your server using Plex web.
Go into your movies library. At the top, click on “by title” link (it’s next to the number of movies you have in that library) - it will drop down a filter list. Select “Date Viewed”. Then, you can change to ‘list’ view by clicking the ‘hash/grid’ icon at the far right of where you selected the filter. List view will provide a bit more info, including, if you click the 3 … dots to the far right of the column headers, a ‘date viewed’ column.
EDIT - Also, ask if the kids want them backed up to DVD or BluRay if you’ve got writers, or external HDs if they want - they may want to keep some favs for nostalgia sake. (I grew up on Bugs bunny 2 hour show Sat mornings… still love them to this day and I’m, well, old)
I’ve tried your answer, and it works.
It would have been simple to had a “Already seen” filter (Plex dev., if you are reading me…), but I can do what I want by using you way.
For the kids movies, of course I will keep some, like “Space Jam”.
