I have that dreaded Pokémon show and was hoping to create a playlist that would order the episodes by TV aired date as the movies are Series 0, the release date sort option in the filter (editing window) only sort’s by the show title and not any items inside the show. This seems to be a question that gets asked occasionally and wonder if there has been progress made on this?
If you switch the filter editor to episodes (instead of show or season), you should be able to sort by air/release date across all matching episodes.

The good news is the first reply worked. Just above the filters is the ability to switch from series to episodes and then the sorting works, as the Pokemon series has all the TV air dates pulled by the plex meta data scanner it has positioned the movies into the correct place.
With more than a thousand episodes I’m relieved it worked!
