I’m a happy new Plex Pass owner and I found amazing the Plexamp app.
For the moment I think I found the perfect music player app for my needs.
I know that normally people demand for gapless playback, but honestly I like the little break between songs.
So my question is: is there any way to turn gapless playback off on the Plexamp app?
I’ve searched in the setting and it seems that I can’t find anything related. The only setting I found was Sweet Fades, but it seems that even when turned off, I still have gapless playback…
If you press Play on the Album, instead of on the first track of the album, you should get the same pauses as they are originally when you play the CD.
I don’t think so. It is called “Album” radio, after all.
Anything else would be a bug.
It is very logical. Pressing play on the album plays the album. So you get the original album experience, Gaps and all.
Pressing play on a track plays a track (and usually all the other tracks from that album are queued up as well). You can add other tracks to this or re-order the tracks which then removes the tracks from its album context.
I think you’re disliking the Sweet Fades, nothing to do with gapless, which is something else). Disable Sweet Fades in settings and you’ll get more silence between tracks in general.
Does this mean that there are two different types of playback and the only way to get the full album as gapless (if it is) is to press play on the album vs track button? Queuing the tracks as an album isn’t recognized if you are on an album view?
