Is there an Alternative to Tautulli? (reporting as contains virus)

Hi All
I’ve been using Tautulli for a few years but recently it seems to be flagged by Microsoft as having a trojan and gets removed/quarantined. Theres a few users raised tickets with the developer but the only soltion back from them is the exclude it from the scanner (I dont want to do this)
Does anyone know of another reporting tool that provides similar detailed usage information?
Thanks

I’m in the same boat. Surprised you haven’t gotten a response.

There are some reporting in PMS dashboard that might tie you over for now.

I’ve gone back to an older version at the moment that isn’t flagged by any AV

Oi. I’ve been running PMS for 10 years. Started on M$ but found they were DELETING movies I’d ripped from my DVDs. So switched to Linux Mint that can run for months without a reboot. Tautulli runs great there. Just sayin’

I have never experienced this in the past 5 years running Plex, and I use MS Defender only on my PMS. Just out of morbid curiosity I’d love to know the circumstances. I imagine if this were commonplace on local accounts there’d have been lots of chatter about it.

Yes I would think so as well.

Hmm - been a long time since I switched. It was Windows 8.1 on NTFS.

I’m a 49-year engineer (retired). Started the same year as Gates and Jobs and knew them both back then. In the late 90’s I was consulting for a state Attorney General on their multi-state case against M$ for monopolistic practices. G.W. summarily ended all litigation against M$ because they made a deal. Sometime later I found security certs for the FBI and NSA deep in the registry before they obfuscated them. Haven’t trusted M$ since but tried Windows 8.1 for PMS for simplicity.

My family noticed some DVD rips had disappeared - kids re–watching the same thing over and over. I checked and my logs and had that content - but it was gone. The only explanation was M$. They’ve been known for such things.

I had been a big advocate for years but have been running various Linux distros as my desktop and on servers for 20 years or so. I boot Windows 8,1 or 10 to play games and test my Open Source cross-platform software (removable boot SSDs).

And used every version of M$ since DOS 1.1 for my profession, except the “Home” version. Still have 2 of the original IBM 5-1/4” single-sided floppy drives from an original IBM PC.

Make no mistake. M$ knows what you have. I’m not a conspiracy theorist - I’m an engineer,

Or you could just exclude the location of your files from Windows Security like everyone else does so that no files go missing / get deleted.

I would expect an engineer to know that was possible.

Yes, maybe now. But back then that was not possible. In addition to not trusting M$ and their “knobs”. Thanks. We’re done.
