Continuing the discussion from Is there an upper limit (max) number of tracks in a playlist:

Apologies if this has been solved already… I have seen multiple questions, but no answers (or open threads)

Am in the process of migrating to plex and setting up playlists (music). I’ve reached 179 tracks and 15 hours 52 mins and it plex won’t let me add any additional songs. No error messages or feedback of anykind, the songs just don’t get added.

Details

  • Plex Server is running on Synology NAS drive. Latest sofware version ( Version 1.18.7.2457)

  • Am using the Plex Synology App to make the playlist

not sure what that is, but can you try @ Plex Web ?

No, Plex does not have an upper limit, or if there one, it’s really high.

Thanks to both of you… appreciate the verification.

For others that have the same problem, yes, tried plex web. as well as the android app. same problem.

the solution that seemed to work was re-starting the my whole nas drive that is host plex. not just the plex server application, but re-starting the box itself.

guess this should have been obviuos to me, a solution as old as computers themselves

thanks again
