I’ve managed to leave my Plex home, I accepted a share from a friend - that’s another topic!
I have database backups and I can even browse the SQL and see the watched entries for different users. However I can not restore this for users, only the admin account. I’ve even done a clean install of Plex and restored from a full from a snapshot from a few months ago, but with the same results.
Currently I’ve started again and am manually reading the SQL to jog my memory where we all are in different shows and manually set in Plex. My question is mostly moving forward and how to prevent loosing this data again. I’ve tried the trakt with multiple accounts, which I’ve had some success with, but it does not seem to auto sync. Its also seems overkill/PITA for a backup.
Is there any way to backup and restore with all users and watched status?
I’m guessing this is an OS independent function but FYI: I’m running PMS on OpenSuse Linux.
