Is there any way to force re-transcoding for media that's already in the supported encoding?

In my understanding the only way to convert HDR to SDR with color mapping is transcoding. Some of my HDR media is already in the transcoded format, so it always opens in the “original” quality by default so I get no color mapping and the video is dark and dull.

I tried setting it to “maximum quality” in the player options, however this still opens files in the “original” quality. No good.

I don’t mind forcing quality to something lower, but the next quality perset after “maximum” quality is 1080p. So I can’t enjoy a 4K media in while being retranscoded.

Is there any way out of this loop? How can I just tell it to always transcode to max resolution? Is there any way to add a new 4K preset between “maximum” and “1080p 20Mbps”?

I don’t care about bandwidth usage.

Never mind, I found the option under Debug options after enabling “Advanced” options under Player.
