Hi, I’m having a really big issue for me on lastest version of stable plex server (and any build from one month ago to today). My music library seems having problems reading ID3 metadata randomly. I’m really a precision freak on mp3 tagging, so I prefer using local information I personaly check every time I download a new song (specially for mashups and remixes). I use mp3tag and the standard IDv2.3 with Null character as separator for multi artist (Yeah, it’s the best way and the only correct way for write more artist!)
I’m aware that Plex is not working perfectly (on some with multi artist and (sadly for me) it’s not my issue for this time.
From one month I’ve got a really strange bug on my music library: it seems that 80% of new music get no or wrong tags, as you can see on the attached screenshots
Also Album and Artist tags are all wrong on these songs (I’ve just ONE song of Ava Max, Torn) and the cover it’s absolulty wrong
I want to underline again that my MP3s have really correct tags and all files have a cover and there is no connection between wrong Plex’s reading information and my files. It’s absolutly random
I’ve tried analyzing again the library, analyze wrong songs, switch from “Plex Music” to “Plex Music Scanner” and the inverse with no result.
I have this bug from about one month (I wait a little bit, because I want to check that was not a bug just on 1/2 Plex’s builds) and just on songs I’ve added from this month (so older added music is okay)
I hope to find a solution, because I can’t live without seeing correct tags on my music library
