So for the last few server versions we have noticed some issues with watching DVR content. They seem to revolve around the com skip feature…which is fantastic when it works!
The first issue is the audio gets out of sync. Usually just a skip back one time resolves it and we move one, but still annoying.
The second is sometimes the com skip goes too far and we try to skip back, but it refuses to. We have to either stop playback, restart the show from the beginning and skip forward to get back to where we were.
Third when we use the skip commercials button it usually works the first time, but the second time we just get the spinning circle. We stop playback and click resume and it starts off right at the end of the commercial break we were just trying to skip.
I would consider the 2nd one to be the biggest issue, but also haven’t had it happen recently. The first and third happen all the time and are inconveniences but getting more annoying.
I have not experienced these issues on any of our other devices but I also have not tried. So this could be a shield tv thing. I don’t know. I will see if I get the same problems on a firestick or in a browser or on a mobile device.
